Yogi Adityanath Highlights Development and Security During Kanwar Yatra in Siddharthnagar

Siddharthnagar (Uttar Pradesh), August 9 - On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the previous Samajwadi Party (SP) government of obstructing the Kanwar Yatra. He emphasized that since the BJP took power, the safety of Kanwar pilgrims has been prioritized, with flower petals now being showered from helicopters. Speaking at a public gathering after inaugurating and laying the foundation for development projects in Bansi, Siddharthnagar, Adityanath stated, “When the SP was in power, they did not allow the Kanwar Yatra to take place.”

He further remarked, “With the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, it was decided that the Kanwar Yatra would not be halted, ensuring complete safety for the devotees.” The Chief Minister noted, “Today, flower petals are being showered on Kanwar pilgrims from helicopters, and a large number of them are traveling peacefully from Meerut to Haridwar.”

This reflects the transformed image of Uttar Pradesh, where faith, security, and development are progressing together,” he added. He also claimed, “Previously, the state experienced frequent riots, but in the last nine years, not a single riot has occurred. The safety of daughters and traders is our top priority.”

According to an official statement, the Chief Minister highlighted the rising demand for Kala Namak rice from Siddharthnagar, noting that the price for one kilogram has reached around 200 rupees, with supply struggling to meet demand.

He announced the approval for a large facility center to address this issue. Additionally, efforts are being made to promote tourism and spiritual development related to Lord Buddha in Kapilvastu, with funds allocated for the construction of a Vipassana center.

Yogi also mentioned that the state government has allocated budget provisions for various segments of society, including youth, women, the poor, farmers, Anganwadi workers, village watchmen, cooks, and ration dealers. He urged everyone to participate in the development and nation-building efforts to realize the dreams of revolutionaries and freedom fighters.
