Yogi Adityanath Government Celebrates Nine Years of Progress in Uttar Pradesh

The Yogi Adityanath administration in Uttar Pradesh has marked its ninth anniversary today. With assembly elections approaching next year, it remains to be seen if the government can secure a third consecutive term. However, it is evident that the Yogi government is exuding confidence. During a ceremony commemorating this milestone, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the achievements of his administration, attributing the state's development to the support of the public, stating that it is a result of the people's cooperation.

Under Yogi's leadership, the past nine years have been viewed as a crucial political and administrative phase. This period has seen remarkable changes in development, law and order, and cultural renaissance within the state. Infrastructure projects such as expressways, airports, industrial corridors, and investment initiatives have propelled Uttar Pradesh towards becoming an emerging economic power. Efforts to attract investments and create jobs have strengthened the state's economic image. Additionally, the Yogi government has emphasized strictness and accountability in law enforcement, enhancing citizens' sense of security through measures against crime and mafia activities, as well as improvements in police systems. These changes have laid a vital foundation for social stability in the state.

Moreover, the Yogi administration has prioritized the preservation of Sanatan culture and religious heritage. Initiatives aimed at developing and protecting religious sites like Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura, and Prayagraj have sought to restore cultural identity. Regarding today's event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled a book titled “Nine Years of New Construction” and, in his address, remarked that the transformations witnessed in Uttar Pradesh over the past nine years are a result of the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the policies of the double-engine government, the tireless efforts of party workers, the dedication of public representatives, and the support of the citizens. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of the state for the achievements of these nine years, emphasizing that this change symbolizes the collective strength of 250 million residents.

The Chief Minister noted that to understand this journey over nine years, it is essential to recognize the state’s condition before 2017. Uttar Pradesh, despite its vast potential, faced an identity crisis. Farmers were driven to despair despite the fertile land and abundant water resources. Artisans, once renowned for their skills, were forced to migrate as laborers instead of becoming entrepreneurs. Youth faced identity and employment crises, with recruitment processes marred by corruption. The law and order situation was such that no one felt safe, be it women, traders, or ordinary citizens. There was no clear vision for development, leading to despair among the youth, who either migrated or remained embroiled in struggles.

Today, the scenario has drastically changed, according to CM Yogi. Over the past nine years, the double-engine government has made extensive efforts in security, infrastructure, investment, employment, farmer welfare, women's empowerment, and uplifting the poor. Welfare schemes have ensured that government benefits reach the most marginalized sections of society. Significant progress has been made towards good governance, with improvements in education, health, environment, and service sectors. Continuous efforts to honor the state’s faith, culture, and traditions have also been made, allowing Uttar Pradesh to emerge with a new identity on both national and global stages.

To disseminate these achievements to the public, a nine-day program based on nine themes will commence during the upcoming Basant Navratri. The aim is to foster public discourse and encourage participation from all societal segments, including youth, farmers, laborers, women, and the underprivileged. This dialogue will not only share the accomplishments of the past nine years but also outline a vision for future development. The Chief Minister stated that the number nine symbolizes completeness, and this program is a significant step towards that completeness.

On the occasion of completing nine years, the state government has proposed a budget of approximately ₹9.12 lakh crore for the upcoming financial year, aimed at accelerating comprehensive and balanced development in Uttar Pradesh. This budget will play a crucial role in further empowering the state economically, strengthening infrastructure, and creating new employment opportunities. Uttar Pradesh is now setting new standards in security, good governance, and development, and these transformations are expected to become even more pronounced in the coming years.
