Lucknow, Nov 2: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, underscored the economic importance of the grand Deepotsav festivities in Ayodhya, asserting that each earthen lamp lit during the event symbolizes the dedication of potters, the harvest of farmers, and the livelihoods of local families.

Prior to his visit to the city of Lord Ram, the Chief Minister took to social media platform X to express that the grand Deepotsav in Ayodhya Dham is revitalizing the economy while also reinforcing faith.

He stated, "The grand Deepotsav of Shri Ayodhya Dham is revitalizing the economy alongside faith. Every diya lit here brings new light to the efforts of a potter, the yield of a farmer, and the sustenance of a family."

Adityanath further noted that such vibrancy was previously absent, claiming there had been no efforts to link Ayodhya's rich cultural heritage with the prosperity of local artisans, farmers, and small businesses.

He remarked, "There was a total absence of vision to convert the strength of faith into new employment opportunities. The double-engine government has eliminated this darkness."

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the grand festival, adorned with countless diyas, is now generating new job and business prospects for potters, laborers, and small traders, according to CM Yogi.

He added, "The diya that lights up Ram Nagari also ignites hopes for prosperity in the homes of hardworking families. This embodies the spirit of our Deepotsav."

In a separate address in Gonda district, the Chief Minister announced his upcoming visit to Ayodhya on November 7 for the 10th edition of Deepotsav.

"While the Deepotsav celebrations will occur in Ayodhya, their impact will extend to Gonda through development. We can witness this progress in Gonda today," he stated.

Reflecting on the region's condition a decade ago, Yogi Adityanath recalled that traveling from Gonda railway station to Devi Patan to visit the Maa Pateshwari Shaktipeeth took him about two-and-a-half to three hours.

He described the roads as being riddled with potholes and the atmosphere as insecure, with development stagnating, youth unemployment, and farmers in distress. He also noted that the safety of women and traders was compromised.

The Chief Minister asserted that Gonda, Balrampur, and Shravasti were once among the most underdeveloped and dirtiest districts in the nation.

He emphasized the development initiatives implemented in the area, connecting the transformation of these districts to the broader vision of the state government for development.
