Speaking during Punjab Kings' impressive run in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where they have secured five victories and one match ended without a result, Bartlett noted that the team has accumulated 11 points, positioning them favorably for the playoffs. The 27-year-old has participated in every match thus far, claiming four wickets with an average of 57.00 and an economy rate of 10.52, achieving his best figures of 2/9.


Notable International Performance

The Queensland bowler has made a mark in his brief international career, taking 24 wickets in 21 T20 internationals at an average of 22.04 and an economy rate of 7.95, with his best performance being 3/13. In five One Day Internationals (ODIs), he has secured 15 wickets at an impressive average of 11.13, including two four-wicket hauls and best figures of 4/17.


Throughout his short career, Bartlett has dismissed some of the best players in the world, including Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, and Shubman Gill, showcasing his talent in limited-overs cricket.


Learning from the Legends

With aspirations to don the Baggy Green, Bartlett has been learning from the legendary pace trio of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc, who are nearing the end of their careers. He aims to establish himself as a regular in the Australian lineup across all formats.


To achieve this, he has been focusing on enhancing his defensive bowling skills while also improving his batting. With a batting average of 16.11 and a strike rate exceeding 125, he has scored 548 runs in T20 cricket, including a notable fifty in 59 innings. His recent performance against Gujarat Titans, where he contributed 11 runs, was crucial during a tense chase.


Aiming for the Baggy Green

Bartlett has played 32 first-class matches for Queensland, taking 111 wickets at an average of 25.77, including seven four-wicket hauls and three five-wicket hauls. Like many aspiring cricketers in Australia, he dreams of wearing the prestigious Baggy Green Test cap.
