The 80th edition of the World’s Longest National Open Water Swimming Competition commenced at 5 AM on Sunday, starting from Ahiran Ganga Ghat in Murshidabad. This remarkable 81-kilometre event, recognized as the longest swimming competition globally, attracted 27 participants from various states, including Maharashtra, as well as competitors from Bangladesh.
