Significance of Cooperative Initiatives for Youth

On July 5, a workshop focusing on the significance of cooperatives for youth and the India Taxi service was held at the Cooperative Bhawan in Jaipur. The event was chaired by Jitendra Sharma, Managing Director of the SLDB. This day was celebrated with great enthusiasm as Youth Day.

Sharma emphasized that India Taxi is a homegrown service with no foreign providers involved. This indigenous taxi app has quickly established a strong presence in the market. He mentioned that customers booking their first ride through the India Taxi app will receive a special coupon for Amul ice cream, which can be ordered via Blinkit.

He further explained that India Taxi offers an affordable and secure service, with fares up to 10% lower than those of other providers. The pricing model is based on surge-free rates, ensuring the interests of both taxi drivers and consumers are protected.

Bhomaram, the nodal officer for India Taxi, stated that if a customer needs to cancel their booking for any reason, no cancellation charges will be applied. To prioritize women's safety and promote their independence, special employment opportunities have been provided for female drivers. He also noted that drivers are only connected to the India Taxi service after completing police verification to ensure passenger safety.

The India Taxi service operates on a zero-commission model, allowing drivers to reap the full benefits of their hard work while providing consumers with a better, safer, and more reliable service at lower prices. The workshop concluded with appreciation for this unique blend of cooperation and indigenous initiatives, encouraging youth to join this homegrown movement.

Present at the event were additional registrar Madan Lal Gurjar, processing registrar Shuddhodhan Ujjwal, marketing joint registrar Mrs. Sonal Mathur, planning joint registrar Anil Kumar, managing director of CONFED Rajendra Singh, and banking sub-registrar Mrs. Aditi Gothwal, among other officials and staff. The workshop was conducted by Mohammad Rafiq, CEO of the Rajasthan Cooperative Federation.
