Woman Arrested for Poisoning Family's Food in Uttar Pradesh
Shocking Incident in Kaushambi
In a startling event from Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, a woman attempted to poison her entire family by mixing poison into flour. The incident came to light when she was caught due to a mistake. The police have registered a case and taken her into custody for further investigation.
The shocking news emerged from Malakiya village in the Karari area of Kaushambi district. On Sunday night, a woman turned against her own family, allegedly adding poison to the flour.
Following a complaint from her husband, the police filed a case against the woman, her brother, and her father. All three have been arrested and sent to jail. Brijesh Kumar Maurya, a resident of Malakiya, works as a helper in Saudi Arabia.
He returned home two and a half months ago. Brijesh reported that on Sunday evening around 7 PM, his wife Malti was preparing dinner. While kneading the flour, he noticed a strange odor of a toxic substance. Upon inspection, he found the flour had a slightly dark color, which raised his suspicions.
When Brijesh confronted Malti, she confessed that she was fed up with the family and intended to poison them. She claimed that her father Kallu Prasad and brother Bajrangi, who live in Manouri, had advised her to do so over the phone.
Brijesh immediately contacted the police by dialing 112. The police took his complaint and raided Malti's parental home, where they arrested her father Kallu and brother Bajrangi.
The kneaded flour sample will be sent for testing. Inspector Vineet Singh stated that a case has been registered against all three accused. They were presented in court on Monday and subsequently remanded to jail. Additionally, the flour sample will undergo laboratory analysis.
Brijesh Kumar Maurya shared that he married Malti Devi in 2014 in the Puramufti area of Prayagraj district. They have two children. While he worked in Saudi Arabia, his wife and children lived with the extended family.
Brijesh alleged that during his absence, Malti would spend hours talking on the phone. When he objected, it led to arguments. Upon returning home, he noticed her frequently on the phone with someone.
Despite his attempts to reason with her, arguments ensued. He also received threatening calls from unknown numbers. Brijesh noted that Malti would wear salwar suits while going to the fields, and arguments would arise when family members objected.
Thanks to Brijesh's quick thinking, he potentially saved the lives of ten people. When the villagers learned of Malti's reckless actions, they were left in shock. Brijesh expressed gratitude that he noticed the issue in time; otherwise, the entire family could have fallen victim to Malti's poisoned flour.
