Shocking Incident in Kaushambi

In a disturbing event in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, a woman attempted to poison her entire family by mixing poison into the flour. Her plan was thwarted due to a mistake, leading to her arrest by the police, who have initiated an investigation.

The incident unfolded in Malkiya village of the Karari area on Sunday night, where the woman turned against her own family. Reports indicate that she added poison to the flour.

Following a complaint from her husband, the police registered a case against the woman, her brother, and her father. All three have been apprehended and are now in custody.

Brijesh Kumar Maurya, a resident of Malkiya and a helper in Saudi Arabia, had returned home two and a half months ago. He recounted that on Sunday evening, around 7 PM, his wife Malti was preparing dinner when he noticed a strange odor emanating from the dough. Upon inspection, he realized the flour had a dark tint, which raised his suspicions.

When he confronted Malti, she confessed that she was fed up with the family and intended to kill them by serving poisoned food, a plan allegedly suggested by her father Kallu Prasad and brother Bajrangi over the phone.

Brijesh immediately contacted the police, who acted swiftly by raiding Malti's parental home and detaining her father and brother.

Inspector Vineet Singh confirmed that a case has been filed against all three suspects. They were presented in court on Monday and subsequently sent to jail. Additionally, samples of the poisoned flour will be sent for laboratory testing.

Brijesh, who married Malti in 2014, shared that they have two children and that he had been living in Saudi Arabia while Malti and the children stayed with the extended family.

He expressed concerns about Malti's frequent phone conversations with unknown individuals, which led to arguments. Upon returning home, he noticed her continued communication with someone, which further fueled tensions.

The community was left in shock upon learning of Malti's dangerous actions. Brijesh emphasized that his extended family, including his children and relatives, could have faced dire consequences had he not intervened in time.
