Union Minister Confirms Nitish Kumar's Leadership

New Delhi: Union Minister Giriraj Singh has put to rest any doubts regarding the next chief minister of Bihar, asserting that Nitish Kumar will continue in his role following the NDA's success in the recent Assembly elections.

Representing the Begusarai constituency and serving as the Union Textiles Minister, Singh questioned the source of the confusion surrounding the chief minister's position.

He acknowledged that each political party has its own selection process, and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will convene meetings to finalize the chief minister for Bihar.

Singh stated, "I don’t understand why there is confusion. We contested the elections under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership. He will remain the chief minister in the future as well, but we must follow the proper procedure."

He mentioned that both the BJP and JD(U) will hold separate meetings for their legislature parties, which will be followed by a joint NDA meeting.

At this meeting, a collective decision will be made regarding the leadership. Singh expressed his confidence, stating, "I am fully confident that Nitish Kumar will be the chief minister," while addressing reporters at the India International Trade Fair (IITF).
