New Delhi: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has called upon Meta's global public policy head following the removal of a Facebook post by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that was directed at the youth, as reported on Tuesday.

Sources indicate that the IT ministry has summoned the global head of public policy for Meta, which oversees both Facebook and Instagram, regarding this incident.

The video in question, shared on July 23 during a student protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party, featured PM Modi addressing the youth and pledging strict actions against paper leaks.

A representative from Meta stated that the content was taken down 'by mistake' and has now been reinstated on the platform.
