Seema Meher Shines at National Saras Fair


Bhubaneswar/Sambalpur: Seema Meher, representing the Maa Gajalaxmi Self-Help Group from Sambalpur, secured the third position in the Handloom Stall category at the National Saras Fair 2025 held in New Delhi.


Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida took to social media to congratulate Seema Meher for her remarkable achievement, extending her best wishes to the members of the Maa Gajalaxmi Self-Help Group and the officials from the Mission Shakti department, Odisha Livelihood Mission, Handloom & Textile department, and the Sambalpur district administration.


The National Saras Fair 2025 took place in New Delhi from September 5 to 22. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the Odisha Livelihood Mission and the Mission Shakti department presented seven stalls, which included three dedicated to Handloom, one for Pattachitra, one for Sabai Products, one for Packaged Food Products, and one Live Food stall.


Throughout the event, self-help groups successfully sold 4,860 products, resulting in a business turnover exceeding Rs 15 lakh.
