Who Are the 26 Candidates Achieving a Perfect Score in JEE-Main 2025?
Outstanding Achievement in JEE-Main 2025
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) revealed on Monday that 26 candidates achieved a flawless score of 100 in the JEE-Main engineering entrance examination.
In the previous year, 24 candidates had reached this remarkable milestone.
The first session of this vital exam in January saw over 1.3 million candidates, while the second session in April attracted more than 1 million participants. Notably, over 800,000 candidates took part in both sessions.
Among those who scored a perfect 100, five candidates hailed from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, followed by four from Rajasthan, three from Delhi, and two each from Maharashtra and Haryana.
Additionally, one candidate each from Chandigarh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Gujarat also achieved this score.
All 26 high achievers are male.
Officials clarified that the NTA score represents normalized scores rather than the percentage of marks obtained.
The NTA scores are adjusted across multiple shifts and reflect the relative performance of all candidates in each shift. The marks are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each group of examinees.
A senior official emphasized, "The NTA score is not equivalent to the percentage of marks obtained."
