During the initial phase of his visit, Modi will meet with Macron on Sunday and jointly launch the 'Bharat Innovates' initiative, which aims to connect leading innovation startups and venture capitalists from India, France, and beyond.

The two leaders are expected to evaluate the comprehensive India-France bilateral relationship, which was recently upgraded to a Special Global Strategic Partnership.

Modi emphasized that India will not only represent its own interests but also advocate for the aspirations of the Global South during the G7 Summit.

In a statement made before his week-long journey to France and Slovakia, Modi noted that India's participation in the G7 signifies the confidence that global partners have in the nation and its growing international stature.
