Protest in Jaipur Takes a Violent Turn


Jaipur: During a protest in Jaipur, Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, was reportedly assaulted by a group of individuals while being carried on the shoulders of his supporters, according to police reports from Monday.


Authorities have detained two young men in connection with the incident, and an investigation is currently ongoing.


The altercation took place at Shaheed Smarak, where a significant number of young protesters had gathered to voice their concerns regarding issues like the alleged NEET exam paper leak and rising unemployment.


Witnesses and police accounts indicate that as Dipke made his entrance at the protest, some individuals in the crowd struck him. In response, his supporters apprehended the alleged assailants and retaliated until law enforcement intervened.


Following the disturbance, police officials confirmed the detention of two youths linked to the incident.


Protesters displayed placards denouncing corruption and demanding accountability for the paper leaks, while also calling for action on issues affecting the youth.


The demonstration, organized by the CJP, focused on various grievances, including examination irregularities and unemployment, with chants demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
