What Lies Behind Jagdeep Dhankhar's Surprising Resignation as Vice President?
Congress Raises Concerns Over Dhankhar's Resignation
New Delhi: The Congress party has suggested that the motivations behind Jagdeep Dhankhar's resignation from the vice presidency are more complex than the health reasons he provided. They argue that his departure reflects positively on him but casts a shadow on those who facilitated his election.
Jairam Ramesh, the Congress general secretary responsible for communications, expressed concerns regarding the absence of Union ministers J P Nadda and Kiren Rijiju from the recent Business Advisory Committee meeting. He indicated that something significant must have transpired between 1 PM and 4:30 PM on Monday, leading to their noticeable absence.
Vivek Tankha, a Congress MP in the Rajya Sabha, remarked that Dhankhar's resignation came as a surprise.
