CJP Delegation Meets Union Health Minister Amid Protests

New Delhi: On Monday, a two-member team from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) engaged in discussions with Union Health Minister JP Nadda, who represented the government as demonstrators from the party attempted to march towards Parliament in central Delhi.

The CJP reported that Nadda has promised to conduct internal discussions and has asked for time to coordinate with government leaders regarding their demands, which include the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to alleged irregularities in examinations.

Sources confirmed that the CJP delegation met with Nadda, who initiated the outreach to the protesters. Ongoing discussions within the government regarding the CJP's protest may lead to an official statement.

CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das mentioned that he and national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka met with the health minister for approximately ten minutes at his residence.

Das shared on 'X', "After waiting for over two hours, @AshutoshRanka and I met J.P. Nadda ji for 10 minutes. We presented a written letter outlining our demands, and he assured us he would discuss this internally. We are currently in that process. There are reports of mass detentions, etc."

This protest saw thousands gathering near Parliament Street, attempting to march towards Parliament to demand accountability for the alleged examination irregularities and Pradhan's resignation, despite facing police resistance.

Ranka stated that Nadda requested time to align with their leadership on the CJP's demands, which include the immediate release of Sonam Wangchuk, Pradhan's resignation, and 1 crore compensation for all NEET aspirants who have taken their own lives.

He noted that the Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi, reached out late Sunday night to establish a communication channel with the government.

Serious discussions began around 6 AM on Monday, and by approximately 11:45 AM, there was an agreement to meet with Nadda.

Ranka tweeted at 2:48 PM, "We just met Nadda ji, and he is checking with the leadership internally regarding our demands. @DelhiPolice must cease the use of excessive force against peaceful protesters."

Despite heavy police barricades, lathi charges, and tear gas, protesters from the Cockroach Janta Party's march on Monday refused to disperse, chanting slogans demanding Pradhan's resignation.

The march, which included students and citizens from across Delhi, was halted near Parliament Street, where police had established multiple barricades.

Many protesters anticipated resistance but remained resolute in their commitment to continue the demonstration.
