PM Modi Reflects on India's Milestones in 2025


New Delhi: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that 2025 marked a year filled with significant achievements for India, particularly highlighting Operation Sindoor as a source of national pride and a testament to the country's unwavering commitment to security.


During his final 'Mann Ki Baat' broadcast of the year, Modi noted that India's influence was evident across various sectors throughout 2025.


He stated, "This year has been remarkable for India, showcasing our strength in national security, sports, scientific advancements, and on global platforms."


The Prime Minister shared that Operation Sindoor evoked feelings of love and devotion towards 'Maa Bharti' (Mother India) from citizens nationwide, who expressed their sentiments in diverse ways.


He remarked, "Operation Sindoor has become a symbol of pride for all Indians, demonstrating that India stands firm on security matters."


This operation involved targeted strikes against terror infrastructure in Pakistan on May 7, following a deadly attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that claimed 26 lives.


Modi also mentioned a mutual agreement between India and Pakistan to de-escalate military tensions.


He highlighted the enthusiasm surrounding the 150th anniversary of the national song 'Vande Mataram', encouraging citizens to share their thoughts using the hashtag '#VandeMataram150'.


The Prime Minister celebrated 2025 as a historic year for sports, with the men's cricket team winning the ICC Champions Trophy and the women's team securing their first World Cup title.


Additionally, Indian women made history by winning the Women’s Blind T20 World Cup, and the tricolor was raised high after a successful Asia Cup T20 campaign, while para-athletes excelled at the World Championships.


Modi noted that India has made significant strides in science and space exploration, with Shubhanshu Shukla becoming the first Indian to reach the International Space Station.
