New Delhi: Late Tuesday evening, residents of Delhi and nearby regions experienced tremors following a 4.9-magnitude earthquake that struck the Chamoli district in Uttarakhand.


The National Center for Seismology (NCS), which is responsible for monitoring seismic activities, reported that the earthquake's epicenter was situated at a depth of 13 kilometers within Chamoli.


The seismic event occurred at precisely 10:23 PM, as confirmed by the NCS.
