Baggage Handling Issue at Delhi Airport


New Delhi: On Sunday afternoon, airlines encountered a temporary glitch in the baggage handling system at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, which was later rectified, as reported by sources.


The malfunction lasted approximately 15 to 20 minutes, beginning around 1:45 PM, affecting baggage movement for flights departing from Terminals 1 and 3.


As of now, there has been no official statement from the airport operator, Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), or the airlines regarding this incident.


DIAL manages IGIA, which accommodates around 1,300 flight operations each day.
