Dr. CV Anand Bose, born on January 2, 1951, is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 1977 batch and a politician. He served as the 21st Governor of West Bengal from November 23, 2022, until March 5, 2026. As the administrator of the National Museum, Dr. Bose initiated a special 100-day program aimed at modernizing and revitalizing the institution. This initiative included reopening closed galleries, upgrading exhibition arrangements and lighting, launching outreach programs to connect the museum with the community, and organizing special events for children to raise awareness about India's rich cultural heritage. Additionally, international exhibitions were held, and the 'People's Museum' movement was launched. Remarkably, most of the improvements outlined in the 100-day plan were completed within just 60 days.
