The weather is rapidly changing in various states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. After experiencing extreme heat just days ago, relief seems to be on the horizon. However, the meteorological department has issued alerts for severe storms and heavy rainfall in several regions. Today, warnings have been issued for 14 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, indicating heavy rain and storms. Winds could reach speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour.


Weather Forecast for Delhi NCR

In the Delhi NCR region, the weather is expected to deteriorate on May 5, with clouds and light rain anticipated. The maximum temperature could reach 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may drop to 23 degrees. On May 6, temperatures are expected to rise to 37 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 22 degrees, accompanied by partial cloud cover and a chance of lightning. By May 7, the maximum temperature is projected to be 38 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 23 degrees, and continued partial cloudiness.


Weather Conditions in Rajasthan

Due to a western disturbance, Rajasthan is likely to experience strong winds and rain today. The meteorological department has warned of heavy rainfall in several areas over the next 24 hours. On May 6, partial cloud cover is expected, with light rain possible in some locations.


Weather Update for Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh, cities such as Meerut, Aligarh, Moradabad, Balrampur, Basti, Azamgarh, Kushinagar, Badaun, Pratapgarh, Amethi, Kanpur, Jaunpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, and Varanasi are under alert for heavy rain and storms. Winds may reach speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour. In Lucknow, the maximum temperature is expected to be 30 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 22 degrees.

In Bihar, areas such as Araria, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Munger, Jamui, Banka, Rohtas, Kaimur, Gaya, West Champaran, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Bhagalpur, and Katihar are warned of light to moderate rainfall. In Patna, the maximum temperature is expected to be 32 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 24 degrees.


Weather Conditions in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand's hilly districts are under an orange alert for severe rain, hail, and strong winds. Areas like Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh may experience thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail. Winds could reach speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. No significant temperature changes are expected on May 6 or 7, and rain and snowfall are ongoing in Kedarnath.


Weather Update for Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is set to experience adverse weather conditions. Alerts for storms, lightning, hail, and strong winds have been issued for several districts. Areas like Sidhi, Eastern Anuppur, and Northern Neemuch may see winds reaching 60 kilometers per hour, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. Other districts, including Southern Neemuch, Western Anuppur, Amarkantak, Northeast Mandsaur, Vidisha, Bhopal, Agar, Rajgarh, Northern Barwani, Southern Rewa, Mauganj, Shahdol, Banasagar Dam, Sagar, Damoh, Northern Seoni, Northern Mandla, and Western Raisen, may experience light showers with lightning.
