Today marks the second and final phase of voting in the West Bengal Assembly elections, with polls taking place across 142 constituencies. The Bhawanipur constituency in Kolkata has emerged as the most talked-about area in this phase, featuring a direct contest between Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari. This battle is considered as significant as the previous Nandigram elections. Adhikari expressed dissatisfaction with the voter turnout percentage early in the day, asserting that it would increase as the day progressed. He also questioned the Chief Minister's presence near polling stations, labeling it against regulations.

Political rhetoric has reached a peak, with Mamata Banerjee accusing the opposition and security forces of intimidating her party workers.
