Voter Awareness Program Held on Greenery Amavasya

Baran. In preparation for the upcoming municipal and Panchayati Raj elections, a voter awareness program was organized at Omkar Lal Nursing College under the guidance of District Election Officer and District Collector Bal Mukund Asawa, along with CEO and Nodal Officer of SWEEP Rajiv Tomar, coinciding with International Youth Day and Greenery Amavasya.

New Voters Commit to Voting and Awareness

Amit Bhargav, the co-in-charge of SWEEP, administered an oath to the trainees and attendees to commit to voting. He urged the youth to raise awareness among voters and encourage maximum participation in the elections to strengthen democracy. New voters were guided on how to download the ECI Net app for registration in the voter list and informed about election-related facilities.

Planting 'Tree of Democracy' on Greenery Amavasya

On the occasion of Greenery Amavasya, a significant tree plantation drive was conducted under the theme 'One Tree for Democracy'. A commitment to protect the planted saplings was also made.

Voting Message Conveyed Through Posters and Human Chain

During the event, members of the ELC created eye-catching posters to spread the message of voter awareness. They also formed a human chain to promote awareness about voting. ELC in-charge Ashish Sharma announced that Priyanka Dhanuk secured the first position and Muskaan Meena the second in the poster-making competition.

Principal Kesari Lal Kushwaha delivered an inspiring address to the trainees on International Youth Day. He announced the formation of a 20-member executive committee, including Campus Ambassador Prashant Nagar, ELC President Harshvardhan, and Vice President Ujjwal Jagir.

The program was attended by Assistant ELC in-charge Mehul Burg, SWEEP member Ramcharan Meena, Assistant Professors Mahesh Sharma, Ashish Nagar, Durgesh Yogi, Harshita Suwalka, and other ELC members.
