Virat Kohli's Injury Concern Ahead of IPL Clash with Lucknow Super Giants
Virat Kohli's Injury Alert
During a training session ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Virat Kohli was spotted with a bandage on his leg. A video shared by LSG's social media account showed him interacting with Kane Williamson, a member of LSG's support team, and LSG captain Rishabh Pant, while he had the bandage on his leg. This incident has raised concerns regarding a potential leg or ankle injury for Kohli.
Despite the injury scare, Kohli was seen practicing his batting in the nets. So far in IPL 2026, he has accumulated 179 runs across four matches, boasting an impressive average of 59.66 and a strike rate of 162.72, including two fifties and a top score of 69*.
Highlights from Previous RCB vs MI Match
In the last match against their rivals, Mumbai Indians (MI), Kohli managed to score 50 runs off 38 balls, hitting five fours and a six, although he did not appear to be at his best.
Following a setback against Rajasthan Royals (RR), RCB bounced back with an 18-run victory over MI at Wankhede Stadium. Key contributions came from Phil Salt, who scored 78 runs off 36 balls, and Rajat Patidar, who added 53 runs off just 20 balls, helping RCB reach a total of 240/4. MI, despite a remarkable 71* from Sherfane Rutherford, fell short, finishing at 222/5.
Notably, Kohli was seen on the sidelines wearing a jacket and did not participate in the field.
