With the IPL 2026 season just around the corner, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has received a significant boost with the return of Virat Kohli. The 37-year-old cricketer landed in Bengaluru on March 18, marking his first appearance in the region since participating in the ODI series against New Zealand earlier this year.


Footage shared on social media captured Kohli arriving at the airport, surrounded by a strong security presence. Clad in a blue sweatshirt, black track pants, and a cap, he was escorted by airport officials and security personnel. RCB hinted at his arrival with a playful social media post stating, "You don’t have to see him… to know he’s coming! Check the calendar. There will be signs…"


Kohli's Impact on RCB

Kohli's involvement is vital for RCB, particularly following his retirement from T20I and Test formats. He remains a key player in ODIs and is considered the backbone of the team. In the previous IPL season, he played a crucial role in securing RCB's first trophy in 17 years, amassing 657 runs with a strike rate of 144.71 and an impressive average of 54.75.
