The altercation reportedly occurred on May 16, between Kanjurmarg and Kalyan stations. In the footage, the man is seen reacting violently after the woman allegedly used offensive language towards him.

Argument Over Reserved Seating

According to police, the conflict escalated when the man entered a coach designated for individuals with disabilities, prompting the woman to voice her objections. The video captures the man striking the woman while bystanders attempt to intervene and stop the violence.

Police Investigation Underway

Following the incident, the man exited the train at Mumbai station. Authorities have initiated a search to locate him, and a formal complaint has been registered. A collaborative investigation is being conducted by the Government Railway Police and the Railway Protection Force.

Covid-19 Deaths at KEM Hospital Clarified

In a separate report, KEM Hospital in Mumbai announced two deaths of patients who tested positive for Covid-19. However, both fatalities were linked to serious pre-existing health conditions rather than the virus itself.

One of the deceased was a 14-year-old girl suffering from nephrotic syndrome, which resulted in kidney failure, while the other was a 54-year-old woman undergoing treatment for oral cancer. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) confirmed that these deaths were not directly caused by Covid-19.
