Reports indicate a bombing incident in the Shivpur area of Howrah district, West Bengal. Initial information suggests that around five workers from both the BJP and TMC have sustained injuries. It is believed that the explosion occurred during a confrontation between the two parties' members.

The incident took place on Dutta Road in Ward No. 2 of Panihati. On Wednesday night, BJP workers were reportedly engaging with local residents when a group of assailants on motorcycles arrived. Eyewitnesses claim that four individuals were riding on one bike.

Allegations suggest that the assailants targeted BJP workers, throwing three bombs in quick succession before fleeing the scene. The explosions led to heightened tensions in the area. Police from the Khardah station and central forces arrived promptly to manage the situation.


Shooting Incident in Bashirhat

Amid rising violence in Bengal post-elections, a BJP worker was reportedly shot by alleged TMC-affiliated criminals in the Bashirhat area of North 24 Parganas on Wednesday. The BJP has made this claim. Sources indicate that Rohit Roy, the injured BJP worker, was admitted to a government hospital in Bashirhat with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, where his condition is reported to be serious but stable.

In footage released by the party's media cell, Roy can be heard stating that while he and others were putting up BJP flags in their area, three assailants from a group of eight to ten TMC workers opened fire on them. Additionally, another BJP worker in the Baranagar area of North Kolkata was reportedly attacked with a knife.
