During the esteemed Annual Business Summit 2026 hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi, grassroots activist Vimla Vishw Premi from Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, received accolades for her remarkable contributions to society.

Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan awarded her a citation, a trophy, and a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. This recognition highlighted her unwavering commitment to combating social issues and her initiatives to empower communities through her organization, Parvatiya Mahila Vikas Trust.

In his speech, Minister Pradhan commended Vimla Ji as a role model for women’s empowerment, emphasizing her successful implementation of self-reliance initiatives among underprivileged groups.
