Introduction to the Viksit Bharat Quiz

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has introduced the Viksit Bharat Quiz, marking the initial phase of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027. Young individuals, particularly from Karnataka, are encouraged to participate enthusiastically in this quiz.

VBYLD 2027: A Comprehensive Five-Stage Program

This quiz is accessible to all young Indians aged between 15 and 29 years as of August 17, 2026. It will be conducted online in various languages on the MY Bharat portal (mybharat.gov.in) from August 17 to September 30, 2026. The VBYLD 2027 comprises a structured five-stage process, starting with the Viksit Bharat Quiz and advancing through the Essay Challenge, District Championship, State/UT VBYLD, and culminating in the National VBYLD.

National Dialogue and Program Tracks

The program will conclude with a National Dialogue in New Delhi from January 10 to 12, 2027, coinciding with National Youth Day. This event will include six key tracks: Viksit Bharat Challenge, Cultural Track, Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge, and Youth Parliament.

Viksit Bharat Challenge Track

The Viksit Bharat Challenge Track will adopt a new framework divided into 10 regions, each focusing on specific themes that reflect India's varied developmental needs. Karnataka will be included in the Southern Gateway: Technology & Innovation Region, alongside Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing technology, innovation, and future readiness.

Progression and Opportunities for Participants

The top 10% of quiz participants nationwide, amounting to approximately 400,000 youth, will progress to a 500-word Essay Challenge, followed by in-person District and State championships. Regional finalists at the National VBYLD will have the unique opportunity to present their ideas directly to the Prime Minister.

Goals and Vision of VBYLD 2027

The VBYLD 2027 aims to offer young Indians, especially those without political family backgrounds, a chance to engage in public life and contribute to nation-building. It seeks to identify, nurture, and provide a national platform for youth aspiring to realize the vision of 'Viksit Bharat @2047', while fostering national integration by uniting youth voices from various States and Union Territories.

Participation Guidelines

Young Indians interested in joining the Viksit Bharat Quiz can do so by visiting the MY Bharat portal and clicking on the VBYLD 2027 pop-up. They should select 'Participate in Quiz', read the instructions, and click 'Start Quiz'.

New users must complete their MY Bharat registration before logging in. Participants are required to verify their details, enter a referral code if applicable, choose their preferred language, attempt the quiz, and submit their responses. After finishing, participants can download their Certificate of Participation.
