During his address, Singh highlighted the government's focus on timely resolution of public concerns under Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's leadership. He noted that initiatives like the 'Government at Doorstep' camps and revenue courts are crucial in connecting the administration with citizens, especially in remote areas.

Infrastructure Development Initiatives

Singh underscored the importance of enhancing infrastructure, particularly road connectivity to remote regions. He announced the commencement of a road project linking Nihri to Pandar under PMGSY-III, urging officials to ensure timely completion while adhering to quality standards.

Afforestation Levy and Electricity Improvements

In a significant announcement, Singh confirmed that the Public Works Department will allocate ₹1.25 crore for afforestation efforts related to the Neri–Badhu road project. Additionally, to tackle electricity challenges, 16 new distribution transformers will be installed, and 22 existing ones will be upgraded.

Major Road Projects Under PMGSY

Singh provided insights into the PMGSY-IV initiative, which has sanctioned road projects spanning approximately 1,500 kilometers with an investment of around ₹2,300 crore. He also mentioned that ongoing projects under PMGSY-III have received a two-year extension, amounting to nearly ₹3,000 crore.

Addressing Local Demands

The minister assured that pressing local issues, such as filling vacancies at Nihri College and completing work at the Community Health Centre, will be discussed with the Chief Minister. He instructed officials to ensure that welfare officers regularly visit the area.

Health Services and Community Support

During the event, a health camp screened 216 individuals, and 48 disability cases were assessed. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office also facilitated the issuance of registration certificates and learner’s driving licenses on-site.

Minister's Engagement with the Community
