The family of Vijay, the leader of the Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), expressed immense joy and pride regarding his swearing-in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. As they departed from the residence of his father, renowned filmmaker S. A. Chandrasekhar, family members described the moment as akin to a dream coming true. They highlighted the significance of this occasion, noting that it coincided with Mother's Day.
Vijay's mother, Shobha Chandrasekhar, conveyed her unwavering confidence in her son's new responsibilities. Speaking to reporters, she stated, "Vijay will handle this responsibility exceptionally well. I have complete faith in him." She also extended Mother's Day wishes to everyone, referring to this political milestone as a special gift.
S. A. Chandrasekhar remarked that supporters had eagerly awaited this moment for the past three days. He emphasized that today is a day of great joy for the people, highlighting the deep connection TVK leaders have with the public.
Vijay's former teacher from St. Britto Academy, Vimala, echoed these sentiments, attributing his success to his dedication, perseverance, and genuine love for the people. She expressed, "We are incredibly happy and emotional about the love received from the people of Tamil Nadu."
Family members, including relatives Keertana and Pallavi, also expressed pride in this achievement. Keertana mentioned that the entire family feels "immensely proud" and considers it an honor for their family. Family friend Roopa Saranathan remarked that the realization of this dream on Mother's Day is the "greatest gift."
Now transitioning from actor to politician, Vijay is set to take the oath of office as Chief Minister. His election campaign resonated particularly well with the youth voters of Tamil Nadu, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the state's political landscape.
