Mumbai, August 4 – Pradeep Rawat, renowned for his powerful performances in films like ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Ghajini,’ has sadly passed away at the age of 74. He had been fighting cancer for an extended period. Yashpal Sharma, who starred alongside Rawat in ‘Lagaan,’ shared the news of his demise on social media, paying tribute to his late co-star.


Sharma expressed, “Tribute to Pradeep Rawat, our Deva from Ghajini and a talented actor from Lagaan.” Rawat gained fame for his portrayal of Ashwatthama in the television series ‘Mahabharat.’ Following this, he appeared in numerous films across various languages. His notable works include roles in TV series such as ‘Tahkiqat,’ ‘Chandrakanta,’ and ‘Yug,’ as well as films like ‘Meri Jung,’ ‘Sarfarosh,’ ‘The Hero: Story of a Spy,’ and ‘Chhava.’
