Continuing Alliance with DMK

CPI(M) Secretary's Statement
Later, while speaking to reporters, he praised Pandit Ayodhidasar, noting that he promoted Dravidian ideologies even before Periyar and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He was also the initiator of the Buddhist revival movement among Dalits in South India. Meanwhile, P. Shan Mugam, the secretary of the Tamil Nadu CPI(M), stated on Wednesday that the leftist parties and VCK have jointly decided to provide external support to the government. He mentioned that it is not necessary for VCK to adopt the same stance as the leftist parties. If VCK believes there is an opportunity and wants to take advantage of it, there is nothing wrong with that. He reiterated the leftist parties' stance regarding the potential entry of AIADMK into the Tamil Nadu cabinet. We have already made it clear that if AIADMK joins the Tamil Nadu cabinet, we will reconsider our decision to support the state government. There has been no change in this stance.
