Vansh Bedi Addresses Allegations

Wicketkeeper-batter Vansh Bedi from Central Delhi Kings has spoken out regarding the rumors of a corrupt approach linked to the recent Delhi Premier League (DPL). He firmly denied any involvement in match-fixing allegations that reportedly connect him to a player from Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Bedi labeled the circulating information on social media and various websites as false and defamatory.

In his statement, Bedi emphasized that he is not the person mentioned in the allegations made by former Ranji Trophy player Rachit Bhatia during a sting operation. He has taken legal action against those spreading defamatory content and urged the public to avoid sharing such misinformation.

"I want to clarify the false and defamatory content circulating about me. I am not involved in any match-fixing activities," Bedi stated in an Instagram post.

Bedi has a history with Delhi cricket and previously played for Purani Dilli 6 in the DPL. He was also selected by CSK in the IPL auction for the upcoming 2025 season.

DDCA's Official Response

The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has acknowledged the ongoing scrutiny regarding these allegations. They have communicated the available information to the appropriate authorities and clarified that the claims being reported remain unverified.

The DDCA stated, "The allegations concerning irregularities involving certain players and a franchise in the DPL are unverified and have not been substantiated by any competent authority. It is inappropriate to draw conclusions based solely on these allegations."

The 2026 DPL season featured eight teams and took place from July 31 to August 30, with South Delhi Super Starz emerging victorious against Central Delhi Kings in the final.
