Uttarakhand CM Visits Hospital After Tragic Bus Accident

Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Doon Hospital to meet victims of a tragic bus accident that claimed three lives. He ensured that the injured receive adequate medical attention and expressed condolences for the deceased. Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister Sukhu also offered support to the victims' families. Additionally, Dhami announced a new policy aimed at ensuring equal pay for employees of the Uttarakhand Ex-Servicemen Welfare Corporation, emphasizing fairness in wages. Chief Minister's Hospital Visit

On Wednesday, Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Doon Hospital in Dehradun to meet with victims of a recent bus accident involving the Himachal Road Transport Corporation. During his visit, the Chief Minister inquired about the health status of the injured and instructed the attending doctors to ensure that all affected individuals receive comprehensive medical care.


Officials reported that on Tuesday, a bus from the Himachal Road Transport Corporation fell into a deep gorge near Kwanoo in the Kalsi area of Uttarakhand, resulting in the deaths of at least three people. The bus was en route from Chopal in Himachal Pradesh to Paonta Sahib in Uttarakhand, carrying approximately 32 passengers at the time of the incident.


Condolences from Himachal CM

Following the accident, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhu expressed deep sorrow over the incident and made a phone call to gather details about the crash. He directed the Deputy Commissioner to provide all possible assistance to the families of the deceased and ensure the best possible treatment for the injured. He also mentioned that helicopters could be utilized to transport the injured if necessary.


He prayed for the peace of the departed souls and for strength for the grieving families to cope with this irreparable loss.


Government Initiatives

Earlier, Chief Minister Dhami announced that the government has approved a 'Equal Pay for Equal Work' policy for employees of the Uttarakhand Ex-Servicemen Welfare Corporation. This initiative aims to eliminate wage disparities and ensure fairness. Speaking to reporters, Dhami clarified that there should be no confusion regarding this policy, stating that the path is now clear. He congratulated everyone involved, emphasizing that equal pay for equal work has already been decided. Additionally, he mentioned that a bill was introduced to improve minority education, ensuring access to education for all.
