Support for Rishabh Pant's Land Acquisition in Uttarakhand
Dehradun, August 8 - In response to popular cricketer Rishabh Pant's request for assistance in purchasing land in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assured him of full support on Saturday. The Chief Minister stated that he is directing officials to facilitate this matter. In a social media post, Dhami praised Pant as a source of pride for Uttarakhand, highlighting how his remarkable achievements in cricket have brought recognition to the state on both national and international platforms. He remarked, “Your love for your homeland and your desire to contribute upon returning is truly commendable.”
Dhami further mentioned that relevant officials would be instructed to reach out to Pant soon to ensure all possible assistance is provided in accordance with regulations.
Previously, Pant had communicated via social media that, being from Uttarakhand, he has a deep attachment to his home state and wishes to return from Delhi. Originally from Roorkee in Haridwar district, Pant expressed that he has been trying to acquire land in the area for the past three years but has yet to find a suitable plot.
He conveyed his eagerness to return to his mountainous community and contribute to the state's development, while also describing the land acquisition process in Uttarakhand as challenging, prompting him to seek the Chief Minister's assistance.
