Inauguration of New Facilities

On Wednesday, Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the newly constructed administrative building and the Vice-Chancellor's residence at Soban Singh Jeena University in Almora. During his address, CM Dhami reaffirmed the state's commitment to national objectives, stating that Uttarakhand is dedicated to contributing to sustainable development efforts. He emphasized that under the leadership of our Prime Minister, India has pledged to become a developed nation by 2047. Uttarakhand is resolutely working towards this goal and is continuously striving to contribute to the creation of a developed India.


Focus on Economic Growth and Ecological Stability

Highlighting the state's development trajectory over the past four years, the Chief Minister placed significant emphasis on both economic growth and ecological sustainability. He noted that various policies and initiatives have been implemented to accelerate the overall development of the state. Dhami specifically mentioned the state's proactive approach to balancing progress and conservation.


Innovative Environmental Index

Following the tradition of GDP, Uttarakhand has become the first state in India to introduce the 'GEP' (Gross Environmental Product Index). This initiative aims to establish a harmonious balance between the state's economy and environment. The state's economy has seen a 1.5 times increase, with a recorded growth of 7.23 percent in Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) over the past year, and a remarkable 41 percent rise in per capita income.


Development Projects in Khatima

On Monday, during his visit to Khatima, CM Dhami inaugurated various development projects aimed at strengthening education, youth empowerment, and public facilities within the block office premises. He stated that education is the strongest foundation for the progress of any society. The newly established Didis Library in Khatima will serve as a vital resource for students and youth preparing for competitive exams. Equipped with modern facilities, this library will provide a peaceful and conducive environment for study, enabling students to prepare effectively and achieve their goals.
