Uttar Pradesh's Law and Order Model Sets Benchmark for Other States
Uttar Pradesh's Law and Order Model
On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh stated that the state's law and order framework has become a benchmark for other regions, emphasizing that the sense of security and rule of law has significantly accelerated investment and infrastructure development in the state.
While addressing the closing ceremony of the two-day 'Police Manthan' conference held at the police headquarters, the Chief Minister remarked, "We have demonstrated what can be achieved in Uttar Pradesh through improved law and order. Today, it is being presented as a model in other states, with the media there acknowledging the emergence of the 'UP Model.'"
Yogi Adityanath attributed this transformation to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which inspired the concept of 'smart policing.' He noted that the framework developed during the conference would serve as a crucial policy document. He highlighted that without security, the rapid development of infrastructure, including expressways, air connectivity, and rail networks, would not have been possible.
The Chief Minister praised the presentations made by the Uttar Pradesh police during the conference, stating, "Over the past two days, officials maintained discipline regarding their time and topics. This reflects the Uttar Pradesh police's commitment to punctuality." He mentioned that public perception of Uttar Pradesh has significantly changed over the last eight and a half years.
He added, "Today, people acknowledge that transformation has occurred in the state. Increased investment is a result of enhanced security and rule of law." Emphasizing dialogue-based and community-centered policing, the Chief Minister stated, "Human intelligence is our greatest asset."
He urged police officials to enhance communication and engagement with citizens and elected representatives. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the two-day conference for senior police officials, 'Police Manthan,' in Lucknow on Saturday.
The conference aimed to address key policing challenges such as cybercrime, human trafficking, and emerging issues related to social media. According to police officials, 11 thematic sessions were conducted during the conference, aimed at shaping strategic priorities and future frameworks for policing in Uttar Pradesh.
