Uttar Pradesh Government Extends Age Limit for Police Recruitment to Benefit Youth

In a significant move, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to extend the age limit for police recruitment by three years, addressing the concerns of many young candidates who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision, prompted by Jewar legislator Dhirendra Singh's appeal to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aims to ensure that eligible youth do not miss out on job opportunities due to age restrictions. The initiative is seen as a victory for the youth of the state and reinforces the government's commitment to youth-friendly policies.

Significant Decision by Uttar Pradesh Government

Recently, the Uttar Pradesh government made a landmark decision aimed at benefiting countless young individuals in the state by granting a three-year age relaxation for recruitment to the positions of Sub-Inspector in the Civil Police and equivalent roles. A formal order has been issued regarding this initiative.

During a recent visit to Lucknow, Dhirendra Singh, the legislator from Jewar, raised this demand before Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emphasizing the need for such a measure.

Understanding the sentiments of the youth in Uttar Pradesh, Dhirendra Singh personally met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and urged that "due to disruptions in the recruitment process caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, many young candidates have surpassed the age limit, leaving them eligible yet deprived of opportunities."

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took Dhirendra Singh's request seriously, leading to the decision that "for upcoming recruitments for the positions of Sub-Inspector in the Uttar Pradesh Police and equivalent roles, a three-year age relaxation will be granted to candidates across all categories. This concession will apply equally to all applicants."

Dhirendra Singh expressed that "this is not just a decision; it is a victory for the faith of the youth of Uttar Pradesh. I extend my gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for understanding the struggles of the youth and making such a significant decision in their favor. This decision further strengthens the youth-friendly policies of the Uttar Pradesh government and will enhance the participation of young people in the state's development."
