Call for Constructive Dialogue in Legislative Assembly

Lucknow, August 3 - On Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh appealed to all opposition members to collaborate positively ahead of the monsoon session of the state legislature. He encouraged them to set aside negativity and contribute to meaningful discussions in the assembly. Speaking to reporters before the session commenced, he stated, “I urge all representatives to work towards maintaining healthy discussions in the house.”

He emphasized the importance of conducting the legislative proceedings peacefully for the benefit of the state, urging opposition parties to abandon negative politics and instead promote positive dialogue that contributes to the development and prosperity of Uttar Pradesh.

Adityanath highlighted that the legislature serves as a crucial platform for the public's voice to reach the administration, allowing representatives to present issues from their constituencies and seek solutions from the government. He noted that effectively utilizing this platform has always been a priority for the government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Additionally, the Chief Minister criticized the protests by members of the Samajwadi Party (SP) against the government within the assembly premises before the session. He remarked, “Those who harmed farmers' interests during their time, who denied water for irrigation, and who allowed middlemen to dominate farmers' rights, are now showing a dual character by speaking for farmers.”

In response to the SP raising issues regarding alleged donations theft in Ayodhya, Adityanath questioned their motives, stating, “These are the same individuals who fired upon devotees, who resorted to violence against those chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’, and who attempted to obstruct the construction of the Ram Temple by deploying lawyers in court.”

He also mentioned various initiatives launched by the government aimed at benefiting youth, women, farmers, and traders, reaffirming the government's commitment to the welfare of all societal segments.
