Honoring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's Legacy

On the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's death anniversary, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of identifying as Indians throughout our lives, from birth to the end of our journey.

Speaking at an event marking the 63rd anniversary of the Uttar Pradesh Home Guards, Adityanath noted that today is a significant day, referred to as Mahaparinirvan Divas, which serves as a source of inspiration.

He remarked that Baba Saheb Ambedkar has motivated every Indian, asserting that our identity should not be defined by family, caste, or region. Instead, every Indian should embrace the sentiment that their identity is rooted in being Indian, from birth until the end of life. Ambedkar, one of the principal architects of the Constitution, also served as the first law minister of independent India. He passed away on this day in 1956.
