CM Yogi Adityanath's Call for National Pride
On Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh urged citizens to shed the colonial mindset. He emphasized that true patriotism is not merely about shouting for rights but fulfilling one's duties. Speaking at a gathering in Bulandshahr, he pointed out that while people often demand their rights, such demands should never come at the expense of the nation, society, or institutions. According to him, a disciplined teacher who not only completes the curriculum on time but also instills good values serves the country far more than mere slogans.
Referring to the armed forces, the Chief Minister stated that prioritizing the nation is a soldier's greatest strength. He stressed that any action against the country's interests is unacceptable and highlighted that selfless service and sacrifice are what safeguard India's security and strengthen the nation. Yogi passionately declared that prior to 2017, riots occurred in every district, with mafia presence in every police station, affecting youth employment. He noted that sugar mills in the state were sold off between 2007 and 2017, but that is no longer the case. Today, there are no curfews or riots; everything is fine.
Comparing the conditions before 2017 to the present, the Chief Minister claimed that no district in Uttar Pradesh was free from riots back then. He also alleged that daughters and women, especially in western Uttar Pradesh, were not safe. According to Yogi, many families had to send their daughters to distant relatives to continue their education. He further claimed that traders often left home wondering if they would return safely to their families by evening.
Yogi accused the Samajwadi Party of allowing mafia dominance in every district, with goons extorting money in every police station. He asserted that the mafia operated like a parallel government in each district. Claiming that conditions have improved, Yogi stated that there are now no curfews, riots, or law and order issues in Uttar Pradesh. He mentioned that everything is fine in Bulandshahr.
