Lucknow, August 9 – On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that individuals residing in India must not disrespect the nation's symbols, revered figures, national anthem, and national song. This statement was made during the launch of a Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow, commemorating the 101st anniversary of the Kakori train action. Addressing a gathering, Adityanath expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking steps to enhance the respect for India's national symbols and for categorizing their disrespect as a cognizable offense, thereby elevating the dignity of the national anthem and song.

He asserted, "It is no longer acceptable for people to live in India while disrespecting the country's national symbols, revered figures, national anthem, and national song." The Tiranga Yatra, led by Adityanath, commenced from the Chief Minister's residence at 5 Kalidas Marg and proceeded to the Vidhan Bhawan, with thousands in attendance, including BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak.

During his address, the Chief Minister described the national flag as a symbol of India's simplicity, development, heritage, and pride. He paid tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India's independence and remembered the soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation's defense post-independence. He noted, "Today marks the 101st anniversary of the Kakori train action."

On this occasion, the BJP is organizing Tiranga Yatras across the country to express gratitude towards great revolutionaries and freedom fighters. Adityanath recalled the contributions of freedom fighters like Ram Prasad Bismil, Thakur Roshan Singh, and Ashfaqulla Khan, stating that they shook the foundations of British rule through the Kakori train action in 1925. He remarked, "This Tiranga Yatra is a tribute to all the martyrs and a commitment to advancing Prime Minister Modi's mantra of 'Nation First.'"

The Chief Minister also highlighted the significance of this year, as the country celebrates the 150th anniversary of the national song 'Vande Mataram.' He remarked, "Our youth are talented and full of energy. They possess the capability to face every challenge that the nation encounters. This energy needs the right platform to prepare themselves and propel the country forward."

Adityanath mentioned that approximately 25,000 to 30,000 youths are expected to participate in the Tiranga Yatra. He expressed his delight, stating, "I have been receiving updates since morning. I am pleased to see that by 8:30 AM, over 25,000 youths had gathered here, and their numbers are now surpassing 30,000." The Chief Minister urged the public to actively participate in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign on August 15.
