Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Welcomes Kanwar Pilgrims with Flower Showers

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath warmly welcomed Kanwar pilgrims during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, showering them with flower petals and emphasizing the importance of safety and comfort. He expressed gratitude to all involved in supporting the pilgrims and highlighted the expected participation of millions. The event showcased a spirit of unity and devotion among devotees from various regions, with administrative preparations ensuring a smooth pilgrimage experience. Chief Minister's Warm Welcome to Devotees

On Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh greeted Kanwar pilgrims with a shower of flower petals, emphasizing the need for proper arrangements for their safety, respect, and comfort during the Kanwar Yatra. A helicopter was utilized to shower flowers on the devotees along the entire route of the pilgrimage. Before arriving at the event site, the Chief Minister conducted an aerial observation of the Kanwar Yatra from the helicopter.


Acknowledging the Devotion of Pilgrims

Yogi Adityanath expressed his reverence for the faith shown by devotees from various regions and instructed administrative officials to ensure adequate arrangements for the safety and comfort of the Kanwar pilgrims. From a platform near the Dulhera police station in the Modi Puram area of Meerut, he showered flower petals on the pilgrims amidst chants of 'Bol Bam' and 'Har Har Mahadev'. Notable figures present included Arun Govil, known for his role as Lord Ram in the television series 'Ramayan', and Somendra Tomar, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government.


Gratitude and Blessings for the Pilgrims

During his address to the media, Yogi thanked all public representatives and social and religious organizations for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the comfort of the Kanwar pilgrims. He extended his greetings to all devotees participating in the Kanwar Yatra during the month of Sawan and prayed to Lord Shiva for the fulfillment of their wishes. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of creating an atmosphere of happiness, peace, prosperity, and harmony in the state and the nation.


Massive Participation Expected

As the Kanwar Yatra progresses, devotees are swiftly moving towards various Shiva temples to perform water offerings with Ganga water collected from Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar. The Chief Minister anticipates that between four to four and a half crore devotees will participate in this pilgrimage, carrying Ganga water to the temples. He noted the significant crowd at Shiv Chowk in Muzaffarnagar and expressed his joy at showering flower petals on the Kanwar pilgrims in Meerut.


Unity and Devotion Among Pilgrims

Yogi highlighted the presence of representatives from Meerut and mentioned that devotees from various regions, including Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh, are partaking in the journey. He welcomed and honored the Kanwar pilgrims who joined the Yatra with enthusiasm and devotion. The Chief Minister praised the dedication of the pilgrims towards the nation, stating that this journey fosters a spirit of unity beyond caste, region, and locality.


Administrative Preparedness and Security

He acknowledged the high-level arrangements made by the administration and the efforts of social organizations in providing facilities for the pilgrims. The Chief Minister described the Kanwar Yatra as a pinnacle of devotion and welcomed all participants. He mentioned that flower showers would continue during the upcoming days, including on the day of Shivratri, with helicopter arrangements in place for the same.


Celebration of Faith and Unity

The atmosphere was filled with the chants of 'Har Har, Bam Bam' from the Kanwar pilgrims, resonating throughout western Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath characterized the Kanwar Yatra as a remarkable example of devotion, dedication, and social and national unity. He assured that the administration is diligently ensuring security, with various officials and police personnel actively participating in the campaign to maintain safety.
