Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Engages with Citizens to Address Grievances

Chief Minister's Public Engagement

On Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh met with petitioners from various districts during a public hearing session known as 'Janata Darshan'. According to a press release, after receiving applications from the public, the Chief Minister instructed officials to take necessary actions and emphasized that illegal encroachments would not be tolerated under any circumstances.


Adityanath reiterated that strict measures against land mafias and bullies would continue unabated. He directed officials to ensure prompt and satisfactory resolutions to the issues raised by the citizens, assuring them that the government is committed to addressing their concerns.


Addressing Land Encroachment Issues

The release noted that some petitioners approached the Chief Minister with complaints regarding land encroachments and assaults. Adityanath personally met with each individual, listened to their grievances, and collected their applications. Following this, he instructed officials to expedite the hearings and resolutions of district-level law and revenue matters. He stated, 'Law and order is a priority for the government. Any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.'


Ongoing Campaigns for Road Safety

The Chief Minister also directed administrative and police officials at the district, division, range, and zone levels to maintain stringent actions against bullies and land mafias. The Uttar Pradesh government is observing 'Road Safety Month' until January 31, aiming to promote the protection of families and future generations while encouraging changes in the road behavior of both riders and pedestrians.


Expressing sorrow over fatalities caused by reckless driving, Adityanath announced a special campaign in the state's 20 'accident-prone districts' to reduce such deaths to zero. He stated, 'We are celebrating 'Road Safety Month' until January 31. This is a commitment to protect our families and our future. Our goal is to change the road behavior of drivers and pedestrians, aiming to eliminate the death rate from road accidents in these districts.'
