Uttar Pradesh Administration Cancels Allocation of Bungalow Named After Mulayam Singh Yadav
Cancellation of Bungalow Allocation
The district administration of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh has revoked the allocation of a government bungalow named after former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav. The Samajwadi Party (SP) has been instructed to vacate the premises within 30 days, as confirmed by a senior official on Friday.
This bungalow, located in the Civil Lines area near the Police Training College (PTC), was allocated 31 years ago. Spanning approximately 1,000 square meters on Nazul land in Chhawla village, it currently serves as the local office for the SP.
District Magistrate Anuj Singh cited public interest and administrative needs as reasons for this decision, stating that the property is essential for government purposes, including housing for officials and the implementation of development plans.
He emphasized, 'Since the state government owns this land, it is no longer appropriate for a political party to continue using it.'
Additionally, the Additional District Magistrate (Finance), Mamta Malviya, has issued a formal notice to the Moradabad district president of the Samajwadi Party, directing them to vacate the bungalow and hand over possession to the district administration within a month.
In response, SP leader Jaiveer Singh Yadav has opposed this action, asserting that the party will challenge the notice in court.
