Among the notable contents is a modern orange iPhone, reportedly an iPhone 17 Pro Max, symbolizing contemporary life. California has included a prediction from the Claude AI chatbot about the state's future in 250 years. Wisconsin contributed a feather from "Old Abe," a bald eagle that served as a mascot during the Civil War, while Ohio provided a piece of fabric linked to the Wright brothers' groundbreaking aircraft. Maine added a bone from the endangered North Atlantic right whale.

Other interesting items consist of a Native American bookmark, a diamond from Arkansas, a traditional cookie recipe from New Mexico, and a commemorative pin celebrating the Oklahoma City Thunder's anticipated 2025 NBA championship. Engineers have crafted the stainless-steel cylinder to endure 250 years underground, placing it within a metallic bell-shaped structure that creates an air pocket to prevent moisture infiltration, sealed with indium to ensure an airtight environment.
