US-Israel Communication on Military Operations

Washington DC: On Thursday, US President Donald Trump reportedly engaged in a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. As per NBC News, Trump urged Netanyahu to reduce military actions in Lebanon, especially following the positive developments in negotiations with Iran. This conversation occurred after one of the most severe Israeli strikes on Lebanon, which has jeopardized the ceasefire between the US and Iran.

In a related development, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of a prominent Hezbollah figure, Ali Yusuf Harshi, who was closely associated with Hezbollah's leadership and served as an adviser to Secretary-General Naim Qassem. Harshi was killed during an airstrike in Beirut.

Earlier, Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel's commitment to continue military operations against Hezbollah, stating, “Our message is clear: Anyone who acts against Israeli civilians will be targeted,” as reported by a Media Channel. Despite expressing support for a ceasefire, he indicated that attacks on Hezbollah militants would persist.
