US Embassy Directs Employees to Shelter

On June 19, the US Embassy instructed all government personnel and their families in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza to remain sheltered until further notice due to the deteriorating security situation stemming from the Israel-Iran conflict.


The directive stated, "The Department of State is preparing for contingencies to assist private U.S. citizens in leaving Israel. We will inform the U.S. citizen community if there are updates regarding departure options."


Furthermore, it emphasized, "If you are a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident currently in Israel or the West Bank and need U.S. government assistance to depart, please visit the following link so the Department of State can assist you and provide timely updates."
