Anticipated US-Iran Peace Agreement
In a significant announcement, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif revealed that an initial peace agreement between the United States and Iran is anticipated to be electronically signed within the next 24 hours. Sharif mentioned that the signing of the deal is likely to occur over the weekend, potentially in a European location.
On his social media platform, previously known as Twitter, the Prime Minister expressed optimism, stating, "We are closer to a peace deal than ever before. The finalization is expected soon, and Pakistan is ready for the electronic signing of the agreement, followed by technical discussions next week." He also extended gratitude to both the United States and Iran for their dedication throughout the negotiation process, as well as to regional allies for their support. Sharif expressed confidence that this landmark agreement will lay the groundwork for enduring peace.
